Each month, NASHP’s Healthy Child Development State Resource Center features a resource highlighting the role of screening, referral and care coordination for healthy child development.
This month’s feature is NASHP’s newly launched Outreach and Training page. Providing outreach and training to service providers and families increases awareness about the importance of developmental screening and facilitates children’s receipt of appropriate developmental services, follow-up, and supports. This page contains a table of state-specific training and educational resources for providers as well as caregivers. The Outreach and Training page also features toolkits for medical providers interested in gathering the information needed to promote developmental screening in their practices and educational materials and handouts for parent and families.
If you have a resource you’d like NASHP to post in the Resource Center or feature in the future, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. The Healthy Child Development State Resource Center is supported by the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.
