This month, NASHP features its updated Medicaid Incentives and Measures for Developmental Screening map. State Medicaid agencies promote early identification of developmental concerns or delays in young children in a variety of ways, including providing financial incentives and establishing performance measures. The map showcases that, in an increase from 2016, 18 states have established measures or incentives for managed care organizations or providers to increase developmental screening.
